RISK+Ed Forum is a space where professionals, educators and relevant actors in the insurance sector meet, where through a series of webinars, they seek to share knowledge and learn about trends, best practices, technologies and the most relevant of the discipline of risk and its management.

It is aimed at finance and human resources managers, and those involved in risk management and employee benefits.

RISK+Ed stands for Risk + Education, two elements that when understood and combined together shape a better future for our companies and employees.

Pension System: An International Comparative Assessment

Abstract: Retirement pension systems around the world are under increasing demographic and financial pressure. The presentation illustrates a risk-based analysis, which identifies the various ways in which the reform of such systems can be approached based on international experience.

Speaker: Mr. Manuel Aguilera Verduzco, General Director Mapfre Economics.

Between 1998 and 2015 he served as Chairman of the National Insurance and Bonding Commission with extensive experience in financial regulation and supervision. In 2004 he served as Chairman of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and in 2015 he was a member of the Boards of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) and the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (CONSAR).

Speaker: Jose Manuel Bas Alvarez, Director of Human Resources & General Services at Seguros GNP

Actuary from Anahuac University with an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and postgraduate degrees in Senior Management from IPADE and ITAM. He developed an extensive career in various companies such as Banamex, McKinsey and Coca Cola and began his vocation in Human Resources with Willys Towers Watson and later took him to Unilever in Latin America, Canada and the United States. Since 2017 he serves as Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services at GNP Seguros. José Manuel is passionate about Social Responsibility issues and in particular about Inclusion.

An economist from ITAM with a Masters in Management from IPADE, Alejandro has more than 20 years of experience in business consulting, strategic planning and financial planning, mainly focused on the financial services and consumer industries. In recent years, he has developed extensive knowledge in applied information technologies, such as RPA, IoT, Data Science and e-Commerce, focusing his practice in sectors such as Fintech and Banking.
