Abstract: Retirement pension systems around the world are under increasing demographic and financial pressure. The presentation illustrates a risk-based analysis, which identifies the various ways in which the reform of such systems can be approached based on international experience.

In 2004 he served as Chairman of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) and in 2015 he was a member of the Boards of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) and the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (CONSAR).
