The government's recommendations therefore continue to be to maintain the national day of healthy distance and the restriction of mobility among the Mexican population, including the possibility of extending the quarantine until 1 June. However, it was emphasised that in the states with the fewest cases and in those where transmission of the virus has been brought under control, the measures could be lifted as of 18 May, including commercial and school activities. The National Association of Private Hospitals A.C. and the Mexican Consortium of Hospitals A.C., will make 50% of their beds available to the Federal Government, with the aim of guaranteeing care for the beneficiaries of public social security institutions, as well as users of the Institute of Health for the Wellbeing, leaving this as a precedent for the signing of a collaboration agreement effective from 23 March until 23 May. The private hospitals will be attending to social security beneficiaries by providing them with the following services: childbirth, pregnancy and puerperium, caesarean sections, appendix diseases, complicated hernias, complicated gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as endoscopies.
